CNPI is the nation’s only grassroots news bureau where low-income workers and immigrants are trained to be professional radio reporters. CNPI reporters tell the stories of their communities and issues that are important to their lives. Their work has aired locally, nationally and internationally, and is also used as movement-building tools to advance social change campaigns.
We partner with community based organizing groups to train their members and staff in Radio Journalism 101. Our reporters are street vendors, domestic workers, refugees and construction workers.
