In East Harlem, the change to the neighborhood is visible with new condos being built on nearly every corner. The most ambitious development is the new East River Mall on 116th street by the FDR. Construction on the mall has increased traffic in the neighborhood, ultimately affecting the residents. Our reporter, Jacqueline Kook brings us a report that looks at how residents are reacting to a recent community board vote to bring Cosco in as an addition to East Harlem.

The home and work place of many immigrant families are being raided by the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). Recently, a New York City resident, whose identity is being concealed for security reasons, received an unwanted visit from immigration agents. CNPI reporter Donald Anthonyson of Families for Freedom sat down with the victim to find out what took place that early morning day.

Radio Rootz Tells the FCC to Keep the Internet Open
Radio Rootz students from Manhattan Comprehensive Night and Day High School recently learned about Network Neutrality, which are the rules that keep information exchange on the Internet free and open.
When the students learned that on Dec. 21st the Federal Communications Commission will vote on Network Neutrality regulation, our students decided to send these audio postcards to the FCC to tell them why a free and open Internet is important to them.
