The IRS calls them economic stimulus payments. The Bush administration wants you to use it to go shopping. At People's Production House, we think there are more important things for you to spend your money on.

For those who can afford to part with some or all of that government payment, we can make a significant impact in building strong, community-based institutions like People's Production House.
Want to know how your donation will stimulate our work?
• With $50, you will fund one low-income worker leading a workshop and survey about community Internet use
• With $200, you will support a week of our summer internship for a high school student, who will be creating a youth-produced radio documentary
• With $300, you will fund one complete radio recording kit, for our members' amazing and under-reported stories of life on the front lines of the economic crisis
Consider everything People's Production House is already doing to stimulate this country:
• Producing hard-hitting radio broadcasts on the lives of poor and working people, including domestic workers, Katrina survivors and day laborers
• Training dozens of high school and middle schools students as radio journalists, making sure the next generation has a voice from New York City to DC to the Gulf Coast
• Organizing to protect and expand community control over media outlets and technologies, so corporate media doesn't get the last word on our communities
And with $600, you will be a Super Stimulating PPH Supporter, supporting all of our projects, including our monthly worker-produced radio show, our year-long classes in public schools, and our organizing to improve New York's Internet future.
In this time of economic crisis, the voices of low income and working people need to be heard. But most media outlets are focused on Wall Street and Capitol Hill, the stock market and the board room. People's Production House is one of the only places in the country bringing you the stories of working people, in their own words. Now more than ever, we need your support to keep these vital stories on the air.
