Hire Us

We aim to close the gap in skills and access for underserved communities.

Get Trained!

Our multi-tiered digital literacy and journalism training program is structured to meet the unique needs of the participants and organizational hosts. Participants are trained in basic computer literacy, digital media production and journalism 101.

Get Rootz!

Our youth media literacy and media arts education courses vary in duration—ranging from two-day boot camps to semester and year-long commitments. Radio Rootz curricula can be adapted to meet state-wide standards in Math, English, History, or Arts. Our after-school and weekend courses at community centers, libraries, and museums are flexible, thematic courses.

In the 2010-2011 year, trainings were held at Manhattan Comprehensive Night & Day School (NYC), James Baldwin High School (NYC), Vanguard High School (NYC), International High School at Prospect Heights (NYC), The Renaissance Charter High School for Innovation (NYC), Bell Multicultural High School (DC), and the D.C. Public Library.
